36 Hours in Carolina Beach
Day 1
Arrive at Good Juju Surf House to check in for your stay. Unpack your car, let your dogs out in the back yard, take a breather, you’ve had a long day! Ok, time to think about food. I usually order my groceries from Publix so they are at the door when I arrive but if you forgot, head over to Publix and get the staples for your stay. If you want some CB specialities and local vibes stop by The Veggie Wagon for some pre-made meals, beer, wine, and sweet treats!
Time for Happy Hour, head over to Ocean Grill and Tiki Bar for a beachside pina-colada on the pier. After your drink head to the restaurant for a dinner. I recommend the fish tacos, ocean grill salad, and crab cake sandwich. If you’re a desert person stop by Fun Time which is right across the street for a soft serve ice cream cone.
If you have your kids with you it’s time to head back to the house and put them to bed (sorry!) but if you don’t… (lucky you!) head to our favorite dive bar - The Fat Pelican - Voted #1 Dive Bar in NC and Top 25 in the nation!
Day 2
Good morning, if it’s summer you’re going to want to get to Britt’s Donut Shop right away (tips: cash only, get a dozen) the line moves fast and trust, it’s worth it! I would also probably grab an iced coffee at Malama Cafe and then go for a walk on the beach.
Head back to the house to grab your beach chairs, umbrella and sunscreen, it’s time to spend the day at the beach!
